November Watchlist 2020

I don’t typically tend to watch your average drama series. done before, that I’ve seen the same kind of story over and over with subtle changes. What makes Dr. Foster different is the multitude of layers and connecting plot points that are well executed to deliver two full seasons of chaos. It was absolutely entertaining and a show that surprised me on how invested I was. What seems to make a show successful these days is if it captures your attention or is simply a background series. The show succeeds by forcing my pay attention, my eyes glued, ears listening at all moments.

Recommended by a friend, Derry girls was a short and sweet two-season comedy following a group of Irish teenagers and the insanely comedic and outrageous situations they manage to place themselves in. I absolutely loved this series, a great quick watch for anyone looking for something wildly funny.

Bye Boys. It's the end of the road for the Winchester brothers, cue the waterworks now. This month marked the series finale for Supernatural. Wrapping up a 15 season story was no easy task. Supernatural is not afraid to take risks and explore different genres and ways of telling their stories which makes every week so exciting to watch due to the unexpected. It's been a never-ending car ride across the country in a 67 chevy impala, you know "saving people, hunting things, the family business."

At it's core, the show has a classicly great narrative, if you're looking for a series with longevity to get invested in. Push past the flip phones and season one's 15-year-old CGI and I guarantee you'll enjoy this thrilling ride.

This surprised me! I wasn’t too keen or interested in watching this but gave it a try based off a recommendation... and boy did this scare me. I tend to be a little tough to crack in the scare department. Jump scares I tend to flinch, a lot, but does it scare me....not really. Fear is subjective to everyone, and as a horror fan exposed to various thrilling films, my standards of what makes a film really shook me to my core is difficult to top. This film managed to do it at truly unexpected times with its imagery.
